Perth Scorchers have won last two editions of BBL Trophy. Melbourne Stars never won BBL trophy. But for BBL 13, they build up a strong team to win the trophy this time.

First Trade of BBL 2023-24

Melbourne Stars traded Adam Zampa and got Sam Harper with arch rival Melbourne Renegades for BBL 13.
Wicketkeeper Sam Harper will cross to the Stars for his second stint at the club in exchange for Zampa, with the Stars claiming the aggressive move will free up cash to help them secure some big-name targets.
“We’re thrilled to be able to secure the services of Sam, who is an outstanding person and we’re looking forward to seeing him behind the stumps in BBL13.
“Last year Sam also showed he is a more than capable with the bat and was the Renegades second highest run scorer behind Aaron Finch.”
Harper made his competition debut for the Stars in the 2016-17 season before crossing to the Renegades for the last five seasons, impressing last year with 264 runs at a strike rate of 141.87.
Harper said playing more on the MCG had played a big role in his desire to cross to the Stars.

Melbourne Stars signed Pakistan’s Imad Waseem for BBL 13

Melbourne Stars signed another Pakistan’ s star all rounder Imad Waseem for BBL 2023-24. Imad Waseem will join the squad in last week of December and be available for the rest of the tournament.

Melbourne Stars already signed Pakistani stars Haris Rauf and Leg spinner Usama Mir.

Melbourne Stars Squad Analysis for BBL 2023-24

This season Melbourne Stars has a strong squad. Sam Harper and Nick Larkin will be the openers followed by Tom Rogers and Beau Webster. In the middle Brook, Maxwell, Burns, Stoinis and Catwright. Batting is strong and has fire power. This season Melbourne Stars bolsterd their bowling line up with likes of Nathan Coulter Nile, Glen Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Scott Boland, Haris Rauf Joel Paris, Mark Steketee and Usama Mir. All three overseas picks are exceptional by their talent.
Unfortunately Harry Brook will not play full season and join England squad for national duties. But the pick of Harry Brook is the talk of the town on BBL Draft day.
Overall a balanced side with no loophole either in batting or bowling. Love to see this side win their maiden BBL title this season.
