Perth Scorchers Women Draft Picks and Retentions for WBBL 2023
1.Sophie Devine (1st Platinum Pick),2. Danni Wyatt (Gold) but now Withdrawn from WBBL 2023.
I like the pick of Danni Wyatt. Danni Wyatt is big match player and she is in the form of his life. She made his team Southern Brave champion in the Hundred Women competition.
The experienced right-hander has compiled 1,608 runs at 26.36 from 68 WBBL games, placing her 21st on the WBBL all-time run-scoring list.
Sophie Devine is retained as first pick due to her leadership role as captain. Her performance with bat and ball is also extra ordinary last year. Devine returns for her fourth season in orange after being retained with the Scorchers’ Platinum selection (pick two, matching Melbourne Renegades’ bid).
Devine also became Perth’s first championship winning skipper in WBBL|07.
Stella Campbell signed with Perth Scorchers Women for WBBL 2023-24
Campbell crosses over to Perth after 45 matches with Sydney Sixers, where she took 21 wickets.
The 21-year-old joins a fast bowling group featuring experience pair Taneale Peschel and Piepa Cleary, and captain Sophie Devine.
