The WBBL 2022-23 winner is Adelaide Strikers Women. After 56 games of the Weber WBBL regular season. Adelaide Strikers Women left the trophy of WBBL08 for season 2022-23 this time. Barbadian marquee Deandra Dottin became the player of the Match in the WBBL 08 Final. The Strikers became the fifth team to win a WBBL title. We were pretty disappointed last year and we have used that to drive that hunger this whole season. 

WBBL 2022-23 Final Winner- Adelaide Strikers

Weber WBBL|08 trophy belongs to Adelaide Strikers Women.  The main factor is Adelaide Strikers Women’s hunger that drive them the whole season to win their first WBBL title. It’s taken them eight seasons to get their hands on the silverware.  Adelaide Strikers Women has a great bowling unit and upset hot favorites Sydney Sixers on their home turf to seal the club’s first WBBL title. Adelaide Strikers women have the strongest bowling attack in WBBL| 08. They are the only team that can defend any total and they defended many games in WBBL| 08.

Their biggest positive is Tahlia McGrath’s captaincy which was vital in winning their first maiden WBBL title. Windies allrounder Deandra Dottin was star with both bat and ball. Special mention to McGrath’s captaincy, she was aggressive right through and very confident and pumped to win their maiden WBBL title.

Highest Run Scorer WBBL 2022-23

For the third, straight season, Perth Scorchers’ Beth Mooney finished as the tournament’s highest run-scorer, with 434 runs from 13 innings of 14 matches, at a strike rate of 120.55 and an average of 43.40. She smashed three half-centuries in the tournament. Her best score was 99 not out. What a player she is. Beth Mooney not only rules Australian cricket but also rules the world cricket as the best batsman of the current era. She is a complete package as a batsman.

Highest Wicket taker of WBBL 8

Adelaide Strikers’ Megan Schutt finished as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker. She picked up 27 wickets in 14 innings of 15 matches, including one five-wicket haul and two four-wicket hauls. She maintained a fine economy of 6.39 and registered 6/19 as her best figure this season. Again Megan Schutt proved that she is the world’s best fast bowler in women’s cricket by taking the highest wickets in Women’s Big Bash 08. She is fast and furious. She is the main contributor for his team Adelaide Strikers Women to win their maiden WBBL title.

Player of the Tournament of WBBL 8

Sydney Sixers’ Ashleigh Gardner was named the Player of the Tournament. After a poor outing last season, she performed outstandingly this year with the bat as well as with the ball. She scored 339 runs in 13 innings and bagged 23 wickets to finish as the joint third-highest wicket-taker of the tournament. Her performance in WBBL 08 was just outstanding and exceptional. She won them many thrilling matches in this WBLL 2022-23. She played the main role in her team reaching the final of WBBL 08.

Best Young Gun of WBBL 8

Melbourne Stars’ Tess Flintoff was selected as the best young player for this season by national selector Shawn Fledger. She scored 116 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 165.71, and also claimed four wickets in the tournament. She scripted history and recorded the tournament’s fastest-ever half-century by smashing a record-breaking 16-ball 51*.

WBBL 2022-23 Prize Money 

The Big Bash 2022 prize money is $450,000 is to be given to the champions while the runners-up will get $220,000. The other two teams are going to get $80000 while the other 4 teams will get paid according to the matches they play. The 5th team is going to be paid $20000.
